Samantha Jade reveals the ‘toughest part’ about filming the new season of Celebrity Apprentice Australia

Pop star Samantha Jade has revealed the most challenging part about filming Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

The 35-year-old singer told Yahoo Lifestyle it was difficult being ‘produced’ because she usually has the final say on how she’s presented on television.

‘It is hard being produced. That I found tough because whenever I do appear on TV I am either performing my music or talking about my songs,’ she said on Monday.

‘This was so different because you’re kind of being asked to relive the day and, like, always answer the question with the question,’ she explained.

This was a reference to ‘in-the-moment interviews’ where reality TV participants must recount past events in the present tense so the footage can be spliced in later.

Samantha said the process was ‘foreign’ to her and she ‘hated doing stuff like that’.

It comes after Samantha opened up about the personal anguish she endured during filming earlier this year.

The musician said she would return home after a day of filming the Channel Nine reality series exhausted and in tears.

In a touching admission, Samantha credited her fiancé, former Sony Music executive Pat Handlin, with helping her through the hard times.

‘I feel for all the partners when we were filming,’ she told Now To Love. ‘Because it’s very long days, and it becomes a bubble.’

‘Pat would sit and listen to me for the millions of times that I would talk about what was going on [in the show],’ she added.

She said Pat reminded her there was a world ‘outside of the show’.

Dinners and walks with the couple’s dog were also helpful when it came to dealing with ‘the craziness’ on set of Celebrity Apprentice.

‘I think X Factor is a bit safer for me because singing is my comfort zone,’ she added.
