Former Royal aide Paul Burrell is reportedly returning to the jungle in the I’m A Celebrity’s All Stars series next year.

The former butler of the late Princess Diana, 63, appeared on the hit ITV programme in 2004 alongside Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter and model Sophie Anderton.

His ‘bizarre facial expressions’ was a big hit with viewers at the time– which saw him coming second to comedian and winner Joe Pasquale.

And according to reports, it seems like Paul is ready to take on the gruesome Bushtucker trials again in the upcoming special.

The insider told the publication that Paul’s memorable moments have ‘gone down in the jungle’s history books.’

‘So, if ITV do strike a deal with Paul then he’s almost guaranteed to be doing the challenges again. Unless, of course, he bans it by inserting a unique clause in his contract,’ a source added to The Sun.

During his time on the show, the former butler spilled some royal secrets about the Queen, while also opening up on his friendship with Princess Diana, however some fans criticised him for talking publicly about his relationship with her.

A show source told Metro.co.uk: ‘The team behind I’m A Celebrity are making a brand-new spin-off of the hit series, this time set in South Africa. It will be hosted by Ant and Dec and will feature the most loved, favourite campmates from previous years.

‘The show is still very much based in the world of I’m A Celeb. The campmates will be doing trials and living in the camp environment, but with fresh and exciting new twists on the format,’ they added.

Gillian McKeith was another celebrity rumoured to appear in the all-stars special, despite her ‘traumatising’ experience in 2010.

Elsewhere Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley also teased a potential comeback after he was forced to quit the show last year.

Over the last two decades, the jungle (and Gwrych Castle) has welcomed everyone from Gemma Collins to Caitlyn Jenner.

With I’m A Celeb alumni including other notable names such as Katie Price, Alison Hammond and Joey Essex – who could be set for a return for the all-star special?

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Paul Burrell’s reps and ITV for comment.
