Monte Carlo Fashion Week

It’s time for the 10th edition of Monte Carlo Fashion Week, which from 23 to 27 May enchants with its rich calendar of fashion shows and events. This is the reference event for ethical and sustainable fashion, much more than a showcase, but a real authority in the sector.

The event, full of fashion shows and events, contests and gala, moments of meeting and comparison takes place under the High Patronage of SAS Princess Charlène of Munich and involves the main protagonists of the fashion world and young talents. Unlike previous editions, digitally due to the pandemic, Monte Carlo Fashion Week 2022 is mainly in attendance.

The catwalks will host international and Monegasque brands, guided by the fil rouge of an ethical, recognizable, strongly conscious style. The Salle Garnier de l’Opera di Monte-Carlo will host a calendar including, on the opening day of Monday 23 May, the chic luxury in a sustainable key of the creations of Beach & Cashmere Monaco, the brand of Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode and Monte-Carlo Fashion Week. There will be seductive femininity by Isabel Fargnoli, the eco-sustainable bags by Thalie Paris, the fresh collections of July of St. Barth, the luxurious kimonos by Sora Byrd, a breath of the East with the Japanese Mitori Paris, the couture shoes by Daniele Giovani Design, the precious contemporaneity of the South American brands of Presente Ancestral: Ana Carolina Valencia, Xzae, Chanklas Atelier, Ani Alvarez Calderon. The next day will be the turn of the Mediterranean spirit of the talented young Gigi Carzaghi, the art couture of Flavia Fleming with the noble jewels of Stardust Monte-Carlo, the Optical art of Marcos Marin x Diana Mara and the glamor of the 80s. reinterpreted in a contemporary key by Ramzen, the made in Italy brand created by Saudi stylist Abdul Al-Romaizan.

The Ramzen fashion show will open the highly anticipated MCFW Fashion Award 2022 Ceremony, during which the creatives who participated in the Sustainable Contest will be awarded and who have been able to stand out for their ethical and innovative vision translated into collections with a high fashion content, capable to celebrate at the same time the excellence of craftsmanship and the use of innovative materials.

Choice decided by a jury led by Sara Sozzani Maino (Head of Special Project Vogue Italia), flanked by Federica Nardoni Spinetta, Terrence Bray (award-winning designer and lecturer at the Durban University of Technology Fashion and Textiles, representing SAS the Princess Charlene of Monaco ) and Matteo Ward (CEO and co-founder of WRAD and member of Fashion Revolution Italia). To follow in the following days events and presentations, which will culminate with the Amber Lounge closing shows of the genderless Alter brand by Pauline Ducruet, the Arloe Swimwear collections, the elegant dresses by Gina Frias, and the female representation of Goddess Mother, to conclude with the Monegasque brand Crisoni that will dress some international pilots.
