In February this year, Cruz Beckham revealed he was following in his mum’s footsteps by pursuing a career in music.

The famous teen, David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son, has worked with a songwriter favoured by many established artists, such as megastars Justin Bieber and Usher.

Cruz, 17, is among the scores of famous people in showbiz who have thrown themselves into a career in music.

Peter Andre’s son Junior is another going down the musical route and recently shared a snippet to his followers of his debut single.

The 37 year old star’s famous dad Keith Allen is an actor, comedian and TV presenter who also enjoyed fame in the music business, scoring his own number one with footie anthem Vindaloo in 1998.

Singing sensation Lily, married to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, shot to fame in 2005 when she shared vocal recordings on Myspace and the publicity brought airplay on BBC Radio 1 and a music contract.

The mum-of-two previously opened up about how her alcohol problem turned serious while touring with Miley Cyrus in 2014.

But in the summer of 2019 that she decided to “confront her demons” and get to the bottom of her issues once and for all.

Last year, Lily claimed dad Keith “resented her success” after she “did better than him”.

The 29 year old emerged as a teen idol on the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana and continues to enjoy huge success in the music business, achieving number one hits with ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’.

Her mum Tish recently filed for divorce from Billy Ray after 30 years of marriage.

Tish started dating the Achey Breaky Heart singer in 1991 and they welcomed first child Miley a year later in 1992.

The 37 year old star, who recently announced she is expecting her first child, is the daughter of rock pioneer Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon.

Kelly has also pursued a music career, releasing the albums ‘Shut Up’ in 2002 and ‘Sleeping in the Nothing’ in 2005. Her version of Madonna’s ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ reached number three.

Ozzy enjoyed an epic career with Black Sabbath. His duet with his daughter with the song ‘Changes’ reached number 1 in the UK.

The 26 year old singer, best known for hits ‘Finders Keepers’ and ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ has a proud family history in the music business.

Her mother Neneh Cherry is a singer-songwriter and was hugely successful in the 1980s with hits such as ‘Manchild’ and ‘Buffalo Stance’.

Her last album, 2018’s Broken Politics, met with acclaim and she went on to release a 30th anniversary reissue of her solo debut album ‘Raw Like Sushi’.

Mabel recently attended the NME Awards with her mum at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. Mabel presented her 57 year old mum with the Icon Award at the event.

Willow Smith is from a mega-famous family and aged 21, she is the youngest of Will Smith’s brood.

She signed to Roc Nation, which is Jay-Z’s label, and has released four albums so far and some of her most iconic songs include ‘Whip My Hair’ and ‘Meet Me At Our Spot’.

Her dad, famous for hits like ‘Getting Jiggy With It’ and ‘Summertime’ as well as iconic TV series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’, hit the headlines after THAT slap at the Oscars.

He resigned from the Academy on 1 April, five days after the incident.

Junior Andre, 16, has received masses of praise on TikTok after sharing a snippet of his debut single.

The son of Peter Andre, 49, and Katie Price, 43, revealed last August that he had signed a record deal with Columbia.

More recently, Junior took a leap of faith and decided to grant fans and followers the chance to hear his debut single Slide, which he is hoping to share in full soon.

One fan branded the track “a summer tuneee” – while another remarked: “Already know I’m gonna play this everyday in the car.”

Cruz is swapping football for music

In February, the 17 year old announced he was swapping football for music and had been working with Poo Bear.

The songwriter is behind the likes of Usher’s Confessions era and as well as several of Justin Bieber’s biggest hits from his Purpose album.

While Cruz previously released a Christmas track back in 2016 for charity, he went on to follow a career in football.

“I thought I would want to do football and I did that for a bit,” Cruz, who previously signed with Arsenal, explained.

But he went full circle launching a singing career as he added: “At that point, I just decided: this is exactly what I want to do.”
