Spotting a celebrity can be thrilling, whether it is in your hometown or while exploring somewhere new. But while some celebs embrace the spotlight, others can be a little less forthcoming.

Oxfordshire is home to a host of famous faces who are quietly enjoying what the county has to offer without kicking up too much of a fuss or sparking a paparazzi frenzy. You could see them anywhere from the local pub to the vegetable aisles at Lidl, Waitrose or M&S.

Though not all of these celebrities are from Oxfordshire, many have decided to settle down and call our county home. With its rich history and lush green landscapes, it isn’t hard to understand why. So who is residing in Oxfordshire?

Mary Berry

Having moved to her £2.6 million home in Henley-on-Thames in 2017, Dame Mary Berry lives with her husband of 54 years. A renowned baker and cook, best known for her time as a judge on The Great British Bake-Offyou can bet that Berry’s kitchen is fully kitted out, boasting white furnishings and blue tiles.

Before moving to Oxfordshire, the 87-year-old lived in Buckinghamshire for nearly 20 years. Her new Henley property features a gym, pool room and a fantastic kitchen decked out with baking utensils and instruments.

Beloved by many, the ITV presenter is often in the public eye, but his private, home life isn’t publicised much. The This Morning star has a £2 million house in Henley-on-Thames. Though he separated from his wife after coming out as gay in 2020, the pair still own the Henley home and recently bought another property together costing just over £800,000. The pair also share two daughters, Ruby and Molly.

The former Spice Girl shares a home in Oxfordshire’s countryside with her F1 boss husband Christian Horner and their children. The pop star is a keen baker, having won the celebrity edition of The Great British Bake-Off and her home is kitted out with a kitchen boasting a cream-coloured AGA.

Being in the countryside, her house also features an indoor swimming pool located inside a converted barn. The sprawling estate is near Banbury and houses many barnyard animals including donkeys, horses, goats and chickens.

Though they own properties all over the world, Victoria and David Beckham also own a £6 million property tucked away in the Cotswolds. Located in Chipping Norton, the converted farmhouse features a wine cellar, football court, swimming pool and a sauna.

Inside the walls are exposed brick with bottle green cabinets and wooden worktops, as well as a dazzling chandelier. With a wood-burning pizza oven, the kitchen is fully decked out. The couple are known to host parties and gatherings at their Oxfordshire home.
