Celebrity Gogglebox star with new job to appear at Glastonbury

A Celebrity Gogglebox star is set to perform at Glastonbury next month after picking up a new job. Woody Cook, the son of DJ Zoe Ball and Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, made headlines last year after stating that his parents are making him fend for himself, rather than allowing him to live off of their successes.

Woody, who is 21, shared with his 112,000 social media followers yesterday that he has got a new job in Brighton, in addition to DJing, to earn a living. Taking to his Instagram story on Thursday, May 19, Woody posted a photo of him posing on an electric scooter: “Careful ordering deliveries in Brighton.

“I’m an electric menece [sic]. Who let me on two wheels?”

Earlier this year, Woody revealed that he will be performing on one of the Glastonbury stages at the iconic West Country festival this summer. The DJ will be following in the footsteps of his parents; Zoe has presented from Glastonbury in the past, whilst Norman has performed there.

Woody first attended Glastonbury 22 years ago, when he was in his mum’s tummy. Speaking to The MirrorWoody said that he signed up for the cancelled 2020 event. He said: “I’ve not shut up about it for three years to all my mates.”

The DJ has gone to Glastonbury many times over the years, and recalled a really surreal moment from the festival a few years back. He told The Mirror: “I remember waking up in a tent, having seen my dad play the night before, and turning on my phone to hear my mum on the radio saying: ‘Good morning Glastonbury!’ My life is a movie.”

Woody, who previously appeared on The Circle, said back in October that he was too poor to buy bread at that time as a result of his parents ‘cutting him off completely’. The Celebrity Gogglebox star said: “My parents make it clear that I was born into a privilege they have had to work their ass off to get.

“My parents have cut me off completely. They are like, ‘Do you want to be a trust fund child or do you want to work?’

“I want to work, so I am now self-sufficient. The other day I couldn’t afford bread but I’m working through it.”
