MILAN – The FashRev Lab opens on May 5 and May 6 is World Color Day 2022. We are talking here about the Fashion Revolution Italia event which, after two years of digital presence, returns with a great physical event in the innovative spaces of D-house by DYLOAN in Milan. Pure expression of color is the Pantone collection by Gilberto Calzolari.
An appointment wanted by Marina Spadafora, country coordinator of Fashion Revolution Italia, and designed to highlight the aspects of an increasingly responsible, innovative and ethical fashion industry. The event wants to be the testimony of the progress made from 2013 to today. The aim is also to show the innovative planning of designers who have emerged in recent years who fully embrace the social and environmental values of FashRev Lab.
Gilberto Calzolari will be among the pioneering designers guests of this new edition, with its constant commitment to sustainable, conscious and glamorous fashion and with an iconic look from the Fall-Winter 2021/22 collection, entitled at this stage. An explosion of colors on the virtual catwalk presented during Milan Fashion Week. In fact, next season’s collection by Gilberto Calzolari celebrates the Pantone color that we love so much.
In Milano Fashion Week 2022, given the second lockdown, we had attended the digital fashion show made at the Franco Parenti Theater. Here we had been dazzled by the Pantone suit, midi dress and trousers, in GRS certified polyester duchesse by Clerici Tessuto, made with yarn obtained from the recovery of plastic waste from the oceans. This garment was in fact made with the so-called “atlases”, printing tests ink-jet (no water waste) created by printers to “set” the machines every time they need to test the color on a certain fabric, and then be thrown away.
Thus, a print proof becomes a real decorative motif, in a brilliant example of upcycling creativo and waste recovery in the name of circular fashion.
So for the World color day the choice of the stylist Gilberto Calzolari was forced. The luxury prêt-à-porter brand made in Italy is also from’animo green. The combination of elegance and beauty must coexist hand in hand with the respect for our planet. The style of the Calzolari brand is represented by a design glamour and timeless, expressed in refined contemporary silhouettes and in unexpected details and combinations that create “aesthetic short circuits“Surprising.
