Overcoming barriers can and is beneficial for everyone: the right amount of foresight and determination is enough to do so. This is demonstrated by the case history of Travel Expert which last October, from the TTG Travel Experience pavilions, launched a campaign aimed at encouraging collaboration between its 70 travel consultants e web stakeholders linked to the travel world: bloggers, influencers and other content creators.
Luigi Porro, Co-Founder Travel Expert declares: “We were the first network of professional travel agents to focus on collaboration with travel bloggers and we are about to launch a similar operation dedicated to other categories. For years we have been encouraging synergies with figures outside the world of tourism, whom we identify as “Business Partners”. They are generally group leaders, instructors and teachers related to the world of sports and hobbies: masters of dance, golf, diving and cooking, just to name a few. Including is always better than excluding and the success of this new challenge proves us right “.
6 months after the launch of the initiative, there are already twenty Personal Travel Experts who have formalized one or more agreements with influencers, travel bloggers and Business Partners in general and the forecast is to achieve as many partnerships by the summer season.
The benefit is mutual: bloggers can direct their followers to professionals who can finalize bookingsobtaining revenue in full compliance with the legislation and improving the engagement rate with their community, while consultants can access new channels, with a view to lead generation.
The mechanics of the operation, apparently simple, is actually based on the continuous coordination between consultants and bloggerswhich also passes through the planning of periodic meetings by the Travel Expert herself: this allows you to ensure that the consultant can plan travel proposals, enhancing the specificity and editorial line of each content creator in the best way, to the benefit of the customer the final.
Roberto Freri, Personal Travel Expert based in Cremona explains his personal experience: “I spent several years in the agency and I decided 6 months ago to join Travel Expert. Given my passion for the world of social media, I immediately shared the collaboration project with bloggers! Thanks to Travel Expert I met Davide Noto in October and we have already planned two group trips, which he will accompany. Our trump card? Davide proposes a travel idea and promotes it on his channels, I take care of building it to measure using all our commercial partners “.
Davide Noto, blogger, youtuber and influencer linked to the world of travel and entertainment, he adds: “I met Travel Expert at TTG Travel Experience 2021 and I was immediately thrilled by the idea of being able to organize my gatherings dedicated to theme parks using the professionalism of a travel agent, able to ensure compliance with all rules and requirements related to the sale of tourist packages, an aspect considered by followers to be particularly important in times of pandemics. I can also count on him to give technical information to users, relieving myself of many responsibilities “.
“Everything easy then? – concludes Forward – Unfortunately not! Not all bloggers are suitable for collaborating with travel agents and a careful analysis of their profiles is necessary: they must be interested in this opportunity, aware of the regulations in force and of the added value guaranteed by intermediaries in terms of safety, reliability and competence. Furthermore, some are active supporters of disintermediation and provide customers with the tools to organize trips on their own: certainly not for us! “
