The Pitti fashion-tech summit will restart from the Leopolda in Florence

The Pitti Immagine eP Summit format (born as Decoded Fashion and then became a 100% Pitti format) moves from Milan to Florence, at Stazione Leopolda. The goal remains to bring fashion together with the tech world, but starting this year with a focus on the upstream supply chain. More than e-commerce, explains Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine. As for the new Florentine location, it was also a choice of optimization, and in post-pandemic times every move must be made with the right economic perspective. Gi, pre-pandemic Pitti was awarded the Stazione Leopolda in Florence which was already used for rent for its events.

Prada and Gucci

Result: on 4 and 5 May 2022 the eP Summit returns to the Stazione Leopolda in Florence, the IT managers and in some cases the managers of Prada and Gucci, Paul & Shark and Miroglio, OTB and Pinko, Bottega Veneta, Emilio Pucci, Dior have already been confirmed , Missoni and Stella McCartney among others. After more than a decade, including the forced suspension of the last two seasons, the event returns to the players of the fashion sector with the ambition of securing European leadership in this area. Shaping the digital future of Fashion is the subtitle of the event, which since this edition has been scientifically directed by Rinaldo Rinaldi, professor of the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Florence.

Accenture e Google Cloud

The other aspiration of the new eP Summit, which starts with two sponsors such as Accenture and Google Cloud, who will support Unicredit, the main partner Pitti Immagine, is less meeting and increasingly proud. Precisely because the objective is to help companies to orient themselves in the management of new supply chains, without forgetting the aspect of security which is very current in a historical phase in which hacker attacks even on fashion companies can compromise or otherwise stop the work of years, notes Claudio Marenzi, CEO of Herno and president of Pitti Immagine.

Logistics and security

The new supply chains and therefore: the digital transition in support of ecology and the circular economy; the integration between traditional distribution and e-commerce channels; social media strategies; consumer customer engagement and analysis models; the Internet of Things; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning; use and protection of Big Data and the Cloud; the Blockchain; the Metaverse and the creation, exchange and use of NFTs.
