I’m a Celebrity star pranked with real snake on Celebrity Juice

Celebrity Juice almost had I’m a Celebrity star Jordan North in tears tonight (April 21), after he was made to unknowingly hold a real snake.

The comedy show, which is hosted by Keith Lemon, saw North joining celebrities Vick Hope, Frankie Bridge and Tom Grennan alongside captains Laura Whitmore and Emily Atack.

And while there were quite a few highlights throughout the night, including one outrageous moment during the Fridge Game where Vick had been forced to identify the smell of cat faeces while blindfolded, the title for breakout moment undoubtedly went to Jordan.

During the show, Jordan had been dared to recreate a picture of his radio partner Vick Hope holding a snake – only, he didn’t realise that the snake he would be holding was real until it was too late.

The BBC Radio 1 host was encouraged by fellow guests who started yelling his name with fervour, but he didn’t seem moved by the gesture.

“Seriously, I can’t,” he pleaded as he approached the wooden box holding the snake captive.

Jordan’s revulsion was quickly made apparent, much to his team’s amusement, as he started chanting “no, no, no” while attempting to take refuge behind his team.

“She’s f**king screwed me,” he complained, before erupting into high-pitch screaming at the feeling of the snake in his arms, which was amusingly still safely tucked in the hands of a snake professional.

The utterly terrified star’s bravery was awarded with a bout of applause from those on and off stage as he attempted to collect his wits.

Jordan, it seemed, often found himself the butt of the jokes throughout the night as he was also forced to complete a number of other questionable challenges, including smelling maggots while blindfolded.

However, he always faced the tasks head on, earning the audience’s respect on various occasions, solidifying his status as a worthy contestant and proving that Lemon’s show is definitely not one for faint-hearted celebrities.

Celebrity Juice airs Thursday nights on ITV2.
