High fashion returns to Venice with fashion shows, cocktails, exhibitions and meetings
Venice is once again the ideal place for high fashion.
After the events of Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurentreturn the “Venice Fashion Week”, An initiative that kicked off yesterday with the first fashion show on the historic terrace of the Hotel Bonvecchiati.
Four days of events to enhance the emerging talents of Venetian fashion and craftsmanship, study the evolution of tailoring and strengthen the debate on sustainability, for which Venice has applied for capital.

This year’s review, organized by Venezia da Vivere and sponsored by the Municipality of Venice and Homo Faber, which celebrates the 1600th anniversary of the city’s birth, proposes appointments dedicated to creative women, one collection it’s a show. The fashion show dedicated to the “Mine de Rien” and “Venice Fashion People” brands kicked off the appointments.
Francesca Venuti’s evening dress collection brings the future into the future hand made pleats with unique volumes and geometries. The evening was dedicated to the woman who created the Delphos dress, Henriette Nigrinwife and muse of Mariano Fortunywhose artistic creations can be admired in the Museum recently reopened to the public.
Today, Thursday 24th, the appointment is at 6.30 pm at the Boutique Hotel Corte di Gabriela. In the splendid nineteenth-century Venetian palace there will be two fashion shows presenting the haute couture of Fosca Parisi and Luna Pesce, designer of the Atelier 23 brand and of MyssDuvalthe first sartorial collection of the very young Marina Amicucci. The day will end with fashion and music at the Aperol Terrace in Campo Santo Stefano.

On Friday 25 March, at 6.30 pm, the project that combines contemporary design with high craftsmanship will be presented at Palazzo Sagredo. An ensemble best made in the collection created by the Finnish designer Jasmin Santanen and the Atelier Martina Vidalkeeper of the art of Burano lace.
Dedicated to Marchesa Luisa Casati, archetype of free and creative woman, the collection will be exhibited from Saturday 26 March until 5 April at the Magazzino Gallery in Palazzo Polignac. The opening of the exhibition is at 18.00.
“A Dress for Venice”, high fashion and sustainability
The 2022 edition of “Venice Fashion Week” will have a sequel on the occasion of the great event of April “Homo Faber“Dedicated to crafts. In fact, “A Dress for Venice”, An exhibition of wearable works of art that combine craftsmanship and high fashion by eco designer Tiziano Guardini, winner of the first Green Carpet Fashion Award, with drawings by the artist Luigi R. Giuffrida.
In the historic spaces of the Bevilacqua textureamong original 18th century Jacquard looms and machinery, 6 kimonos made with the extraordinary fabrics of the archive on the Grand Canal will be on display.
The exhibition, which is part of the activities organized by Venezia da Vivere in collaboration with Homo Faber, can be visited from 10 to 29 April.
