A new study, conducted by Business Travel Show and based on a sample of 313 travel managerhighlights that over a quarter have changed Tmc in the last 12 months of Covid-19.
Not only that: a further 36% intend to replace it by summer 2022.

These decisions – the experts of the event dedicated to business travel understand – seem to have been made in “playing musical chairs“. Metaphorically, confusingly and very quickly.
According to the survey, the main motivation is related to lack of sufficient support by the travel management company during the period of full pandemic (52%).
Almost 30% instead replied that the period of the absence of travel gave them a way to re-evaluate relationships with their suppliers.
The other reasons were:
- Necessity of cut costs (5%)
- Search for a Tmc with a better technology compared to what they had (5%)
- And support for better Covid-19 for travelers (5%)
- Doubts about the prospect of development and consolidation of Tmc (3%)
As in the game of chairs, Louis MagliaroExecutive VP of Btn Group, underlines how it is necessary that those Tmc that are not benefiting from the changes, undertake to understand what the market demand is, so as not to remain “standing”.
